Since 1993, the Hottenroths have been collecting Scheibbs ceramics products from all over the world. The collection currently comprises almost 2,500 objects and is now open to the public in the new Scheibbs Ceramics Museum. The museum building was originally a hammer mill and housed ceramics production from 1924 to 2004. 

The objects on display were produced here! 

The Scheibbs Museum Association, founded in 2006, renovated and adapted the dilapidated building with the support of the Lower Austrian state government, the town of Scheibbs and private sponsors and now acts as the operator and supervisor of the museum.
